Adding an activity action
-
Hello everyone!
I am currently stuck with the development of one of my Themes for BuddyPress. I have two problems that i just can’t find a solution for. I have done some research, but to no avail. I guess i am just not experienced enough to even know WHAT to look for, so i am hoping you guys can help me.
Problem 1: I want to add a new “action” to the activities page. Really all i want to do is make the system treat an URL like this:
http://my.blog.net/activity/NEW_ACTION/
the same as if insteadhttp://my.blog.net/activity/?scope=NEW_ACTION
was called. Where or with which hooks can i add this new action to the URI parsing?Problem 2: The default behavior for the /activity/ page is to load the “All Members” action. (That is, if no other ‘scope’ is set inside the respective cookie). Where can i find the code that makes this decision? Is there a way to change this behavior? In the long run, the /activity/ page is supposed to load my NEW_ACTION on default, instead of ‘All Members’.
Like i said: I am pretty much stuck and don’t know where and how to look for solutions any more. Any help would be much appreciated!
Thank you all,
-Lav
