adding simple and safe action hooks into core is taking forever

    @dwenaus

    I am developing a few buddypress plugins and releasing them to the community. And sometimes a very simple action hook is necessary to make the plugin work properly. I’ve made these requests in trac about two months ago, but they never get added. These are tiny changes that would be fine for a minor release, but they keep getting bumped to the next release.

    This is annoying because every time a new BP release comes out WITHOUT this simple hooks, I and all others that use the plugins, need to go in and add the hooks back in.

    I’ve gone so far as to add the diff files into trac, and they have been tested, so PLEASE core developers could you add them in to the next release, even if it’s a minor one. (search for dwenaus in trac to find the ones that I’m talking about).

    Defects take precedence over enhancements.

    If you mark your ticket as a defect, it will probably be spotted.

    It’s great that you have patches attached to your ticket as well.

    Also try bumping your tickets to the nearest milestone – 1.2.4 – instead of 1.3.

    Keep in mind that only Andy and JJJ have commit access.

    That’s only two people folks and there is practically a sea of tickets on Trac.
