Adsense javascript in Text widget

    Whenever I add some javascript to a text widget and save it disappears, is that by design?

    Same thing happens when I embed an <object tag in a post – it disappears too – tried it many times with same results

    The standard text widget strips out code and only allows ‘approved’ html. Anything other than basic html in posts and widgets is going to be stripped. Can’t have just anybody putting active code all over the place now can we? Security thing. WP thing.
