All groups using wp-load.php – pagination not working

Hi there, I’m having a very annoying problem I really can’t work out how to fix. Basically if I go to the groups index page and use the page nav it works fine. But when I click on All groups and then try to paginate, it doesn’t work. I noted that when I page normally the url would be /groups/?grpage=3&num=20 but when I click on all groups it’s wp-load.php?grpage=2&num=20
I’m sure it’s something to do with the ajax but can’t work out what
