Allowing Buddy Press Users to Create quick posts through the front end site

    Hello,

I’ve been searching around for a plugin/way to allow users who are logged in using Facebook through my site and have a buddy press profile to add posts to my wordpress site, but I’d like to customise the form they fill in so there are just some small text boxes + an image upload.

In my search I have come across people suggesting the use of Gravity forms, quickpress plugin (now outdated and updated to one click) and a few other plugins which all seem wordpress user account related. I’ve also read multiple posts on the forum here (most 2 years old) where they problem has not been resolved.

I was wondering if anyone knows of how I could do this? What I’d like is:

A way to create a custom form which logged in buddy press users can fill in.
This form creates a post on my wordpress blog, using the categories which are selectable on the form.
An option for the user to upload an image for the post.

    Thanks in advance,
    Rob

You’ve already answered your question. The options are plugins like Gravity Forms or custom coding.

Thanks for your reply. I will check out with Gravity Forms if this is possible. Do you do custom coding work @modemlooper?

I do, I’m actually developing a front end blog solution for BP, it wont be out for a few months. I busy working on Menus and Mobile. When that’s done then I’m working on the blog issue
