Anyone, how do I find true BuddyPress themes?

    How do I find true BuddyPress themes? I tried searching the WordPress themes directory but it seems every theme developer has said; “well, we have universal theme compatibility I’m going to go ahead and tag my theme BuddyPress”.

    I tried searching from my dashboard for “bp nouveau” (which sounds great) and got zero hits.

    In short, finding BuddyPress themes to work with is a mess and I need some help. I don’t like twentySeventeen (and its sisters at all) but have no idea where to find something more suitable to work with. Currently, I am stuck with customizr which is “so poorly documented as to be impossible to understand” (that coming from a general PHP dev with 15+ years experience).

    I need something I can work with to customise our site. PLEASE HELP!

    You can check if either of these two directories exist inside the theme:

    • buddypress
    • community

    If either of these exist, the content inside is specific to BuddyPress and will likely be custom.

    So, basically just download a whole load and then open them up and have a look?

    1998 called and wants its technology back. Seriously though, there’s not a directory or listing of this anywhere?

    I would check out https://themeforest.net/search?term=buddypress
    This will show all the premium themes that are made for buddypress.

    I’ve had some good experience with buddyboss.

    So, basically just download a whole load and then open them up and have a look?

    If you want to know for sure then I guess you’ll need to do this.

    Can you recommend a single free theme I can download and dissect? All I need is one good example, of things being used to work from.
