bb_notification admin-ajax overloading server

My site went down today, as the server was overloaded with admin-ajax.php requests.

I have checked a page, and see that every 15 seconds, there is a call to admin-ajax
for bb_notification like below.

How can I reduce the frequency or stop this?

I have exactly the same problem with admin-ajax and bb_notification_count
How did you fix that, please ?

BuddyPress does not have a function called bb_notification_count

Are you using a BuddyBoss plugin or theme?
If so, that is where the issue is and you should contact BuddyBoss with your question.
