bbpress integration

    Hi guys,

    I am unable to integrate buddypress with bbpress. I have done all the steps that are included in the installation readme, such as doing the integration steps during the creation of wp-config.php file, copying the buddypress-enable to the bbforum bb-plugins as well as the creation of user at both buddypress and bbpress. Group Forums still does not appear. I have also typed in the details in Forum Setup under BuddyPress section. It still doesn’t work. Why?

    I ticked all the boxes but it still doesn’t work. I don’t understand the part for Secret Key. What they showed was AuthKey, SecuredAuthKey, LoggedInKey and NounceKey. There’s no secret key. Also, I click on Add user database integration settings. However, there is a problem with the prefix. They said that there’s an error there. Why?

    check out the guide at http://theeasybutton.com/blog/2009/04/30/integrating-buddypress-10-wpmu-and-bbpress/

    very simple and straight forward, and it works. make sure you are running bbpress v1 alpha 6

    Every time I try to enable the BuddyPress support plugin for BBPress I get the following error:

    “Fatal error: Cannot redeclare for_buddypress_strip_tags()”

    Any idea on what is causing this and how I can fix it?

    Guys, I did what the guide says. But I am stucked at WordPress Integration. It says: There was a problem connecting to the WordPress user database you specified. Please check the settings, then try again, after i clicked Save WordPress Integration Settings.

    @Fi3ryfalc0nz and @Ineffabelle:

    What versions of WPMU, BuddyPress, and bbPress are you using?

    Have you followed the additional instructions in the installation-readme.txt file included in /buddypress/bp-forums/ folder?

    Yes, I followed through. The problem is that I can’t get past the second step during the creation of config file for the Forums. It just gives an error when I filled everything in according to the instructions: Please check the settings, then try again, after i clicked Save WordPress Integration Settings.

    are you using the existing wpmu database or creating a new one for the forums? sounds like it has a problem connecting to the database, make sure all the settings are correct, also make sure the forum dir is chmod 777 so it can create the bb-config file.

    Hey, it works now! Thanks Daniel. Sorry, I have another question. How do you delete a topic in Buddypress Group Forum. I can’t find the Delete button anywhere.

    I think you can do it in your bbpress admin.
