Tried searching but couldn’t find any recent info on this.

Does anyone have any info r.e. installing bbPress 2.x with BuddyPress? Is it possible yet or should we not mix the two? I notice that bbPress is still included in the BP install.

bbPress 2+, the plugin, is referred to as the Sitewide Forums in the following guide https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/installing-group-and-sitewide-forums/

thanks for that (I saw that page… was right in front of me and I missed it!).

So I guess that means that BP isn’t integrating group forums with the add-on yet, is this the direction BP is heading?

Group forums will be using bbPress 2+ the plugin pretty soon https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/3598

Not sure if the ideal place to post, but here goes:

Have done a brand spanking new install of WP 3.3.1 and BP 1.5.4; and have no other plug-ins installed. I have attempted to create site-wide forums following the above tutorial to the letter, but cannot get my forum to display for love nor money.

When i click in forums on my site menu – it says the ‘forums component hasn’t been setup yet’ – http://county2county.co.uk/forum/ and retruns me to the site index.

If I click on the ‘view page’ when creating a forum then I just get a blank page – http://county2county.co.uk/forums/forum/general-discussion/

If anyone would be able to help out with what I am doing wrong; then I would be eternally grateful.
