Blank Screen unless you refresh the page

Hi everyone,
I was hoping someone here could help me with an issue that I am having with my BuddyPress installation. The install works perfectly on my offline localhost install of the plugin that has the exact same files and plugins as my live site.
However, when I hit “activate” for BuddyPress on my live site, the pages will always load as a blank screen. If I hit refresh, however, the content will display as intended. This happens for every single page that you try to load on the live site.
Has anybody had an issue like this before or know what some of the common reasons for this could be? I haven’t been able to find much documentation this issue.
