Blog posts not showing up after converting standard mu blog to buddypress

    @jmarx75

    I have an installation of wordpress mu that I have been running for a few years. I just installed and activated the buddypress plugin and themes for the first time.

    When i click on the blog link from the front page,

    I get an error message saying:

    “The page you were looking for was not found. “

    I figured that the blog posts already in the system would show up under that link.

    Is there something else I need to do?

    I am running mu 2.86 and Buddypress 1.1.3

    Thanks in advance,

    Jeff

  • Did you try updating the Permalink structure?

    Well the blog is set to use day and name as the permalink. Does that need to be switched to something different? It is set to how I used it before.

    just try to re save it , or if does not work,change->save->change to previous->save.

    I tried resaving it … I’m not sure where the ‘change to previous’ option is. Does it make a difference that I’m using the subdomain option to load the blogs?

    I meant it literally. You copy the permalink, Now change it and then save.

    Again,use custom permalink, put the copied old value there and re save.

    The subdomain should not be a problem.

    Hope I made it more clear now.
