Book list on member’s profiles

    (Sorry for the double post – the was an error on my last topic and it doesn’t display anything)

    I want to add a “book club” section to a community. People should be able to add books / DVDs to their collection, which is then displayed on their profile page (The books / DVDs are planned to be Custom Post Types).

    Unfortunately I cannot find a plugin with this functionality (or some similar one, which can be adapted) – the closest one is probably the ability to favorite certain post. Also, I didn’t find solutions with their own database (and not custom post types). Does anyone have some hints and tips regarding a solution?

    I’m building similar functionality for work, at the moment. I wasn’t aware of any pre-existing plugins that would do exactly what I wanted (which might be slightly different than yours), so figured it was fun to build one from scratch.

    Sounds great – and yes, it looks like I will have to develop a plugin myself too. Do you think that it does make sense to use Custom Post Types to store the data?
