BP 1.2 with Classic Theme and WPML

    An observation.

I was checking my test installation of BP 1.1.3 to see if upgrade to 1.2 would be smooth. I am using the old “default” theme now called “classic” until a new theme is ready for me. I am also running WPML plugin.

The upgrade seemed to go fine except I found that clicking the “blog” tab didn’t work, took me to “page not found.” Groups, Members, Forums all worked though.

Then I noticed that there were a pair of slashes instead of a single slash between the url extentions (blabla.com//blog instead ofblabla.com/blog) This I traced to WPML.

BP 1.1.3 seemed to work even with these double slashes but 1.2 did not.

WPML does have a hint on how to fix this at

    http://wpml.org/documentation/support/creating-multilingual-wordpress-themes/home-page-link/

and I think that would cure the ill.

But then when WPML is turned off the result would be zero slashes, such as blabla.comblog so best not to forget if one makes that change.

I tried WPML also with BP 1.2 with the new “default” theme and don’t see those double slashes so I assume the problem is restricted to the classic theme.

    Scratch that.

I seem to have found the /blog problem is more broad than w WPML

re “scratch that”. Is it a matter of wpmu vs wpsu? WPMU uses multiple blogs while WPSU uses a single one.
