BP Activity & WP Heartbeat

Hello everyone. I have already limited my WP heartbeat to the maximum allowed(through the plugin) to 60 seconds. However, my site is still using up all my cpu usage. The only reason I need to keep the heartbeat enabled at all is really for the BP Activity. Is there a way to adjust the activity refresh rate?
