BP album plugin does not display correctly under 1.9.1

I can’t upgrade buddypress 1.9.1 because it brakes the css for the member gallery pages for bp album plugin . Wondering if this is something happening with other plugins that rely on bp default theme, if there’s a fix, or if I should redo the css for bp album pages myself. Yuk.
