BP Buttons are unreadable

    @kwright

    I have just installed BuddyPress and bbPress and all works fine except that the buttons are so small as to be almost unreadable.

    I am using WP 3.7.1 with BP 1.8.1 and bbPress 2.4.1 and am using the StrapPress Twitter Bootstrap 3 Theme. The support for this StrapPress Twitter Bootstrap 3 Theme says that I probably need a BP styles.css which specifically supports BuddyPress and bbPress. I see that there is a buddypress.css but cannot find where to download it for my combination. I was thinking that if I could install this buddypress.css into my child theme, it may solve this problem.

    Then again there may be another way?
    Appreciate help…..

    Thanks
    Ken

    buddypress.css is a basic style sheet for layout formatting. You will probably need to add more css to your style sheet to handle the extra html supplied by BuddyPress.

    Thanks for your reply. I am assuming it needs buddypress.css but as I said I cannot find where to download this. I have searched the plugin directory to no avail. Can you tell me where buddypress.css is located so I can download and try it.

    Thanks
    Ken

    the file is part of the core files you don’t want to modify it but rather your theme’s (or child theme’s) css file. But be advised if you don’t know where to look for these files it is unlikely you will be able to edit them without assistance.

    you could always use one of the plugins that add css https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css/

    I am having the same issue and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction as to which CSS file is causing this. The buttons for completing registration and editing profile are inexplicably tiny!

    @strokahontas Change to the Twenty Fourteen theme and you’ll see the size of the buttons styled by BP CSS. So the “tiny” part could be from your own theme’s styles.

    @mercime Thanks. You wouldn’t happen to have any idea where it would be in the Avenue theme? Been looking for hours, super tedious…or any other quick fixes?

    @strokahontas search shows at least 4 Avenue WP themes from different authors. Site URL?
