BP Default pages – change?

Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere.
I’m confused by the default pages BP comes with.
On install you have a news page which is believe is the admin’s blog.
However, admin does not appear in the members list page but admin DOES appear on the memebers list on the homepage.
Then, if you click admin’s name you see admin’s profile. If you click on admins blogs the blog link is the homepage of the entire site and not the news page.
I just find this a bit confusing, is it a known problem with a fix?
Also it would be nice if we could control the url’s of all the pages BP creates by default.. e.g. members / groups / blogs / news.
If we could choose what they are called etc.
