bp-events plugin – 404 error

i have a problem with the bp-events plugin by erwin gerrits.
the problem is: when i click on the menu link “Events” it will show
Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access /events/ on this server.
but the events link in the sidebar works 100%
what is here the problem?
(i use the actual version)
