BP Toolbar notifications have gone (scary!).

    Hi people.

    All toolbar notifications (the ones in the little blue/grey bubble) have disappeared from site.
    The have also disappeared from the notifications page.
    No work was done on the site, they just disappeared.
    Email notifications still work fine.
    Notification of friend requests and PMs etc still show it the drop down box.

    My community is live and active so we are getting a lot of complaints.
    We run with S2 memeber pro, BP, BBpress and RTmedia.
    Worst of all my developer has gone AWOL, I think his internet is down so cant get hold of him.

    I have no idea where to even begin trynig to fix this.
    Can anyone help please?
