bp_ functions in wordpress strict page

  • Hi,
    I’m learning BP and wonder if i can use bp_ functions in static wordpress sites.
    The site works fine but… I’ve created page “Test” wich id is 40 and in my theme folder i’ve created file “page-40.php” in this file i’m loading header-buddypress.php instead of header.php but i cannot access functions like `bp_displayed_user_avatar()` or `bp_members_component_link(‘profile’, ‘public’)`. Is there a way to make this stuff works?

    @modemlooper

    bp_displayed_user_avatar only works on a members profile page use bp_core_fetch_avatar

    not all functions work out of their components

    That make sense, Thank You.

    Hi, So how do I can use the function out of their component?

    Today I’m tried to create a navbar with name and thumbnail of the user.

    Thanks
