I Have enabled have been able to display Buddypress Pages across a multisite install, however, Avatars for Members, Groups, ect are not displaying.. What am I missing?

@luisrosario If you have enabled BP_ENABLE_MULTIBLOG, you will need to ensure that each active theme on your installation is BuddyPress-enabled
@mercime , hey there, my theme is buddypress enabled, I’m using the same theme on the child site as the home site so in theory I should be fine, not really sure what the issues is. I can’t find much information on this since it seems any problems it have been addressed in the current version.
Where is WP installed, in domain root, subdomain or subfolder. Is your multisite subdomain or subdirectory structure?
Site url? Have you tried changing to bp-default theme and deactivating all plugins except BuddyPress?
@mercime WP is installed and BP installed on the ROOT domain network activated. The Multisite is sub domain structure. The site root url is groovetemple.tv .. The test site is beta.groovetemple.tv .. I’ve tried changing to default theme without disabling plugs, and same issue. I guess next step is disable plugs. I guess I can throw the root site in maintenance mode and disable plugs.
@mercime so I went and disabled all plugs on child and main site, used bp-default, and still no love on the avatars. I feel like it’s a Buddypress issue, and although there have been changes added to address this issue in the current version, for some reason, it’s not working properly on my site. I would love to figure this out as my current development is on hold until I can get this resolved.
Does one of these avatars (say, a group avatar) work on one site, but not the others? Can you share the URLs to the images that the default theme gives you? Can you confirm the version of WordPress and BuddyPress that you’re running?
@djpaul The home site, avatars are working fine. We have one test site where we have bp-default installed and none of the avatars are displaying. We are running WP 3.3.2 and BP 1.5.5. Not sure what you mean by sharing urls to images that default theme gives me. You can visit beta.groovetemple.tv to see what we are looking at.
Literally, just copy and paste the URLs here. I want to see the URL structure.
I’m curious to learn a solution to this problem as well.
The second link above is what the default theme is giving me hence showing auto generated avatar..
Ok, that means it isn’t even looking in the right place for the file, so it gives up and uses a gravatar instead. I suspect it might be down to BP_ENABLE_MULTIBLOG (e.g. that might do a avatar-per-site) but I’m not too sure.
We need for someone to recreate this on a new install. I’ll try to do that this weekend.
I am having the same issue.
@djpaul , Hey there Paul, so I was wondering if you had any success with finding an answer to the above issue? Any updates would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
