Broken HTML on Activation Page?

    Just installed BuddyPress on a brand new WP site with minimal configuration and my new users are seeing this (verbatim) after activating their accounts:

    Your account was activated successfully! You can now <a href="http://www.villanite.org/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.villanite.org">log in</a> with the username and password you provided when you signed up.

    BuddyPress Ver: 3.1.0
    WordPress Ver: 4.9.7
    Twenty Seventeen Theme Ver: 1.6
