Browser cant see index.php when permalink is not set to default

  • CAN SOMEONE HELP ME. I installed wordpress/buddypress. Problem is that when I try to log into my site through zone2x.com I get the following error message: Not Found
The requested document was not found on this server. Web Server at zone2x.com.

But I can get into the site through zone2x.com/index.php but when I try to return to the home page from any other page I get the same error.

Pls note that the index.php file is right there at the root directory, I can see it through ftp.

I think the problem is with the permalink. When permalink is at default permalink the browser can see index.php and everything is ok except that buddypress can not work with the default permalink. Once I change permalink as requested by buddypress I can no longer log into the site from the browser.

Someone, help am desperate. My site is still http://www.zone2x.com.

  • There is no benefit in posting the same topic on four or five different forums. I’ve deleted the others. Do not try that again.
