BuddyDroid – BuddyPress for Android
-
This is a very simple Android Buddypress client. If configured properly, it will allow you to post status updates to your Buddypress install via Android. It also has a simple RSS reader for your sitewide activity feed.

The app now starts, and I can register, but when I tap refresh, I’ve got an error message…
It says org.xmlrpc.android.XMLRPCExption: xmlpull.v1? XmlpullParserExeption unexpected type (position END_DOCUMENT null@1:1 in java.io. InputStreamReader@…
Where the 3 dots are, are everythime other characters.
How can this be fixed?Probably means some server problem. Have you updated the server plugin? I had to modify it, maybe the old version doesn’t work with the new configuration. Also, make sure your ‘website’ setting is just the base URL http://www.yoursite.com/
1. I have the last version of the plugin in the wordpress list, is this the correct one, or must I use the version on github?
2. Do you mean that my site adress could not be mysite.com/home?
P.S, I’v renamed the folder already as mentiond earlyer in this topic
Can you give me your site url?
Also, I have just updated the server plugin’s latest stable tag to 0.3.0, Once it shows on wordpress.org, please update the plugin to 0.3.0 and try again.
my site url is http://timvangompel.nl/home
You need a / after home, i think. I can connect to http://timvangompel.nl/home/index.php?bp_xmlrpc=true so a setting of `http://timvangompel.nl/home/` should work.
Also, 0.3 seems to be on wp.org, but it still reads 0.2.2 the download link seems correct though:

Hi there, app works but i can not post status updates, it just says “user posted an
update” but the message is missing. Can you tell me what version of android, whether it happens in both portrait and landscape mode, and the exact steps to reproduce?
sorry it wasn’t something wrong with your app but had trouble with my server. I reinstalled everything and now everything working f9.
can you help me in putting my web address permenantly into app?I tried using an admin account everything worked fine, then I tried on a normal account but found no Remote Access settings. I was wondering is this supposed to work only for admins or am I missing something?
You need to set the permissions to something everyone has, e.g. “read”
If you want to hardcode the website, you need to fork the source code and create your own app. You will need to add ActionbarSherlock as a library.
did just that and it worked! keep up the gr8 job!
It did not work for me… Just the same error
What is your username?
Can you send me a username and password to my email (@gmail.com)?
I’ve send it!
Just a heads-up that I have changed the authentication system to use passwords instead of api keys – WordPress client does the same, and it cuts out a large part of the hassle of registering, not to mention “what could go wrong”. Now you just input your password in preferences and then return to the main screen. Shouldn’t take more than that.
To use the latest version of either the server or BuddyDroid, you must upgrade both – the server is at 0.4 and BuddyDroid is at 2.0
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Server plugin still shows 0.2.2 so new update won’t be available, just delete the old version and reinstall the plugin.
I don’t understand: When I download the 0.4 ZIP and upload it, it says version 0.2.2????
Am I doing somethng wrong or is this what you do mean? (My English is not very good)The app now works great, but I can see messages in a private group with a normal account…
Can this be fixed please? Beacause private groups now are not private anymore…Sorry, I’m still getting used to the WP versioning system… it should show the correct version from now on.
I’m not sure why it would be showing private groups… it should only show groups that the user is in, since it is using groups_get_user_groups(). What filter is showing private groups?
The filter sidewide is showing private group content
Try 0.4.1
