Buddymatic redirect problems after upgrade of Buddypress to 1.2.4.1

Upgraded BuddyPress and it’s now going to /groups redirects to the root. Tried it with the default theme and it works. I regenerated permalinks with no change. Any ideas?

and I just reactivated it again and it’s not doing it now… hm…
update – false alarm, it was doing it the whole time.
