Buddypress 2.5 email customizatio – brackets

    I am just wondering if we must keep the brackets wrapping around site name for each customized emails. Email tokens that is.

    I love the flexibility of email customization, but am not sure about the brackets!

    Thanks so much for letting me know how I can remove them safely.

    You mean the square brackets? [{{{site.name}}}]
    afaik, this should be okay {{{site.name}}}

    Yes. Those are exactly it. I tried to delete them when attempting to customize the emails, but had a warning.

    I really would like none of those brackets to show up on email notifications. Is there a way to remove them safely? There should just be the site name showing.

    Square brackets [ ] are cosmetic. They don’t matter.
    You should be able to edit the email and remove those characters from the subject line area.

    The “warning” message is more intended to be a link to our documentation explaining what tokens are. Thanks for your feedback regarding this confusion, we’ll continue to iterate on this screen in upcoming releases.
