    Hi There,

I’m coming to you because I can’t find the solution on my server for my buddypress installation…

    1. Which version of WordPress are you running?
    4.1

    2. Did you install WordPress as a directory or subdomain install?
Subdomain Install in his own subdirectory

    3. If a directory install, is it in root or in a subdirectory?
    Subdirectory

    4. Did you upgrade from a previous version of WordPress? If so, from which version?
No, just a fresh install from today

    5. Was WordPress functioning properly before installing/upgrading BuddyPress (BP)? e.g. permalinks, creating a new post, commenting.
    Yes

    6. Which version of BP are you running?
The latest one found on the WordPress Codex (2.2)

    7. Did you upgraded from a previous version of BP? If so, from which version?
    Fresh Install

    8. Do you have any plugins other than BuddyPress installed and activated? If so, which ones?
    Askimet => Install
    Event Manager => Install

    9. Are you using the standard BuddyPress themes or customized themes?
Nope, I’ve tried with all theses themes :
    Twenty Fourteen
    Alexandria
    iBuddy
    Twenty Thirteen

    10. Have you modified the core files in any way?
    No

    11. Do you have any custom functions in bp-custom.php?
    No

    12. If running bbPress, which version? Or did your BuddyPress install come with a copy of bbPress built-in?
    No

    13. Please provide a list of any errors in your server’s log files.
    for my domain logs :
    > error.log :
[fcgid:warn] [pid 3872] (104)Connection reset by peer: [client 86.XXX.XXX.XXX:54548] mod_fcgid: error reading data from FastCGI server, referer: http://covoit.dev-perso.fr/wp-admin/plugin.php
[core:error] [pid 3872] [client 86.195.215.146:54548] End of script output before headers: plugins.php, referer: http://covoit.dev-perso.fr/wp-admin/plugins.php
    > access.log :
    HTTP/1.1″ 404 929 “-” “Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_10_2) AppleWebKit/600.3.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/8.0.3 Safari/600.3.18

    For my server logs:
    > error.log :
    [fcgid:error] [pid 3076] mod_fcgid: process /var/www/php-fcgi-scripts/web1/.php-fcgi-starter(23001) exit(communication error), get unexpected signal 11

    14. Which company provides your hosting?
    Online.net

    15. Is your server running Windows, or if Linux; Apache, nginx or something else?
    Linux 14.04
    Apache 2
    Did this tutorial : https://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-server-ubuntu-14.04-apache2-php-mysql-pureftpd-bind-dovecot-ispconfig-3

If you can provide me any help it would be wonderful… As I can imagine, I guess this is a server issue but learned by myself so not good enough to track perfectly an 500 Internal Error…

As I not said before… Each time I have a 500 Internal Error on this host, I have a 404 matter to… Just like Buddypress was blocking everything… And I don’t any .htaccess on this subdomain.

    Thanks !

OK I’ve found the solution… It was coming from the php5-xcache !

I’ve uninstalled it and now it works perfectly.
