Buddypress and bimber theme/snax

    @smaples23

    I have a major issue with something causing a login error. I have racked my brain trying to trouble shoot this but I am new to a lot of this/rusty.
    I have the latest editions of BP, WP and bimber.
    The error does not show an error code.
    When logging in on a test account. 6 accounts to be exact.. I have to login several times to show I’m logged in. Once logged in, certain actions show I’m not logged in anymore. At that time I go to log in on a second account and it’s says account a is still logged in.
    I am pulling my hair out trying to fix this. I do not have a child theme set up. All customization has been done in main theme so I’m worried about switching themes to test that. I have disabled plugins and none seem to fix the issue. Please help.

    Desperately waiting

    First, turn off any caching system or plugin after emptying the cache.
    If the issues persists…

    …I’m worried about switching themes to test that.

    You need to eliminate your theme as the issue. Back up everything, including your database, and then switch to a WP theme like 2017 and test.

    Hi, thanks for the reply.
    Are there default settings in wordpress itself that controls caching? I have not found any active plugins that I have downloaded that have cache settings.
    I just did a full backup of my site to test the theme. 78k files later, its finally done. Now I feel more comfortable diving in it further

    No.
    Make sure to check your mu-plugins folder – if you have one.
    Your hosting provider may put a cache plugin in there.
