How can I change the buddypress from homepage to just an application in the website? Right now, if you install buddypress it comes up as home page theme but I want to show it as another app and not the home page. I couldn’t see any option. DO I have to change anything in themes,

    Paul,

I don’t see that option at all.

It’s there as Paul said in your main wordpress admin, find it in your WP admin left menu towards the bottom. “WP Admin – Settings > Reading Settings > A static page (tick radio button) > “Front Page displays” (and select a page you want for your home). You can set a page for home page there, also for posts index page just under there.

I created a static page, but it still shows ‘members’ and ‘group’ tabs, which I don’t want on the home page, as the buddypress social is just one of may things we have. Also, I don’t want the login to show up on the home page. Am I going to have to create a separate home page outside of wordpress?
