It’s not a buddypress issue, the members core widget on your homepage contains rounded avatars.
Did you updated your theme recently ?
Do you use a child theme or did you made the rounded css in the original theme ?
Ask your Premium theme support.

you have to find the css file where you did the rounded avatars ! And if you find nothing, you can do the work again… 🙄

Next time, remember to never make a modification in a core file (plugins, themes,…) as you will loose it at the next update.
@avitmusic to make it easier for volunteers to help you, it would be better if you provided a throw-away username and password for your site. You can always delete that account when everything’s resolved.

well i can see the problem when i inspect the element but i am not sure how to correct even the margin problem on the avatar.
also noticed that when trying to change the avatar i cannot crop it :/

Your avatar in your profile pages are all circular. Have you tried clearing cache?

Can’t say what the issue is as the profile pages of the throw-away account is disabled, i.e., pages related to the account lead to 404 pages.
