Buddypress Avatar upload failed.

    I’m using the latest version of BuddyPress (2.3.4) and everything works fine except avatar uploading functionality.

    Administrators can upload / change avatars without any issue. However non of other users cannot upload their custom avatar.

    It’s returning an error, An error occurred. Please try again later.

    I was able to let non admins upload avatars with ‘Delete users’ capability ON. However this is not going to work since a subscriber can delete all of my users and their posts.

    How can I fix this?

    Have you tried unloading your other plugins to see if it’s a conflict? It should work so it looks like something is interfering with normal operation.

    Yes I did. But it failed.

    Okay I found the bug which is causing this issue.

    I used a custom function to redirect all the non admin users to the homepage when they are visiting wp-admin.
