    Hello All,

Im wondering if a BUDDYPRESS CHILD THEME, for example “FRISCO” usable as a BLOG Theme? Are Child Themes, even BP-Default compatible as a generic WordPress Blog theme?

    My scenario,
    1) Latest Version of WP, BP installed
    2) Multisite Mode.
    3) Using BP-Default theme on TLD (www.mydomain.com/ )
    4) I would like to use FRISCO on my other blog (www.mydomain.com/DRIFT )

    QUESTION:
    1) is using a default BP childtheme as a blog cause problems?
    2) is using bp-default as a blog theme on my other blog cause problems?

I don’t see why you would have any problems.

The themes are made to work first with WordPress, then with Buddypress.

If you are worried just set up a test site and check them out on a site with WordPress and no Buddypress installed.

    I hope this helps.

If you are using WP 3.5.1 and BP 1.7 beta1 then you can use any theme because of the built in compatibility layer.

@joesell89 @bphelp Thanks Guys… yup.. it seems to be working.. I just dont want any “unintended consequences”, build out that sub_blog only to revert back. BUT, so far, everything looks cool. forums, member-group-forum search seems to all be working fine…
