[Resolved] BuddyPress custom templates and default pages
-
Hi,
I;ve copied all my Buddypress template files back to my theme as per the documentation at http://codex.buddypress.org/developer/theme-development/a-quick-look-at-1-7-theme-compatibility/. Thats great as i konw have full control over all these templates.
I’ve 2 questions ..
1) Is there some default CSS i can get anywhere just to style up my community in a default way as i’ve no styles currently set in my theme for BuddyPress?
2) In BuddyPress settings, i see you designate pages to the following BuddyPress main pages ..
http://mysite.com/activity/
http://mysite.com/groups/
http://mysite.com/members/
http://mysite.com/register/
http://mysite.com/activate/My theme is built around shortcodes and i don’t really like the way this works. My editor uses shortcodes to allow the user to have full flexibily on what appears on a page. Is there a way to override this? IF you don’t set the above pages in BuddyPress settings and just use your own logic for navigation, can i use shortcodes to achieve all of this? I see there’s a plugin i can use for generating all BuddyPress shortcodes at http://bp-tricks.com/featured/buddypress-shortcodes-plugin/ – is this a full set to mimic? What then happens to the links in the users profile?
Thanks for your help in advance
