Buddypress Geo – noob tut (not 100% right)

For all those trying to get this plug-in to work, these are the steps I took:

*steps 2 and 3 didn’t go right, when in the site under edit profile of the user it says base and location but there are no text boxes, which should be latitude and longitude.. so if someone can correct me here would be great and I could finally get this working.

    1.Install the plug-in
    2.Go to admin panel/profile field set-up
    a.Add new filed group (location)
i.Location/add new field (Latitude) and (Longitude)
3.Go to admin panel/geo search setup/ Which group contains the location information? (select location)
4.Copy buddypress-geo/directories (geo being inside directories) and past it into buddypress/bp-themes/bp-defaul (I’m using the default theme)

From there the ‘geo’ menu no longer goes to the home page but to the geo page. Im not there but I hope sharing this will help others and someone can figure out the rest. Many hand make light work :D?
