BuddyPress Group Email Subscription HTML email never sent

Hello I was wondering if any one had any idea about why i have never recieved an HTML email using the plugin BuddyPress Group Email Subscription HTML. I looked through the code and it looks like I am always receiving the plain text version of the email being sent through the ALTBody . Is this correct? I tried commenting out that line and I still received text/plain email format. @boonebgorges maybe since you helped create it, could you offer some help or wisdom. Thanks!

HTML format is only sent on digests (Daily Digest, Weekly Digest).

Thanks, Is this for a specific reason? I want to add an image at the top of all the emails.

Not sure. You might want to bring it up with the authors of the plugin here:

You might also want to try WP Better Emails about making WP emails HTML-compatible:
https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-better-emails/

Bonus is it allows you to style the email template. Not sure how that gels with the digests in the Group Email Subscription plugin.
