BuddyPress group membership upgrades user role plugin

Are there any plugins that preferably are free or only cheap one off payments to buy, that will allow me to automatically upgrade a users role for wordpress functions when added to a buddypress group.
So for example administrtors can create a group for a project, project leaders will manually assigned buddy press group admins, so they can invite their teams user profiles into the group, then I want a plugin that will give the users more access to the wordpress site to post articles and such by giving another role.
Is this possible?
