BuddyPress in Multi Site

I have a multi site where there is a public and private area.

I am using BuddyPress Groups Extras which requires to Network Activate that plugin for it to work correctly with BuddyPress which is also network activated.

The problem is that all the groups show up on the public side in the admin area and they need to only show up on the private site admin so that the Event Calendar, also network activated, will work with the BuddyPress Groups Extras pages area. And also when you look at a group its displaying on the public page.

When BuddyPress is not networked activated, everything works fine except for the BuddyPress Groups Extras won’t work at all.

Main reason for using BuddyPress Groups Extras is so I can have pages on groups.

    Any suggestions?? Thanks

    These MIGHT help.

    Group Home Page

    or

    Link a Page to Groups

Both actually do what they say they’ll do and MAY be a part solution for your project.

What I did was go in and make the subdomain the only site to have BuddyPress via config.php. Works fine. The subdomain is only one with all the BuddyPress plugins activated.

BUT, when I change anything in a group and save, it will go right back to the main site. Also, my Event Calendar isn’t linking up and showing the events. The calendar is showing fine in the groups but none of the events.

It still acts like the main site is running BuddyPress.
