Buddypress on Subdomain

I had posted yesterday with a subject of Moving Buddypress which may have been misleading. The thread is here http://buddypress.org/community/groups/how-to-and-troubleshooting/forum/topic/moving-buddypress-1/.
According to the codex, I would think I could move within a multisite install
http://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/install-buddypress-on-a-secondary-blog/The note in 3 suggests that moving Buddypress is possible, but it was mentioned that it’s not typical. Any thoughts how to do this or should I try to recreate with a new database?

@pbarthmaier I did not find any issues when I moved BP from main site to subdomain blog id 3 in one installation way back BP 1.2++. I’m sure you know that you should always back up database and server files before making the change just to be safe
