I am been searching through the forums with not much luck on my question.

My question is..can “pages” be made through BuddyPress similar to how they are through Facebook?

For example, in my niche, I would like companies/businesses to be able to register for an account to gain visibility…but I do not think they would want to create a “normal” member account.

I have read and thought about a way to just create a group for the company/businesses…however, for my knowledge in order to create a group in BuddyPress you must already be signed up with a member account. You cannot simply just skip that step and create a Group.

I’m looking for a way that companies/businesses can create a presence and have people join/follow the group/page, and for the company/business to be able to interact and post information.

Have there been similar requests to this and if so, how have people gotten around this issue?
