    I can’t seem to find anything on this topic that isn’t 4 years old. Is this possible? And how to do it please

    buddypress post to activity feed sends to all members

    If i post an announcement to the activity feed i would like all members to receive an email so they can join in the discussion.

    I’m not sure anything’s been done with it due to potential issues with spamming users. To work around this my suggestion would be to install one of the BuddyPress Mass Messaging plugins and email all with a link to the activity post. It’s a bit clumsy I know.

    I’m building a site for an HOA and they need better communication and the ability to have a discussion with each other. Not sure they’re going to go for a facebook group but that may be my only option. Thanks! 🙂

    Even with Facebook groups not everyone will be notified, it depends on their settings, and the notification is often delayed by a could of days unfortunately. FB groups are a bit hit and miss.

    I don’t actually think it would be that hard to implement that feature in BP though, the hooks are all their and the WP email creation is simple enough. How’s your coding?
