Buddypress Responsive Design

I gather Buddypress is not responsive out-of-the-box, installed into a responsive theme (like WP 2011) or framework such as Genesis because when I installed it into a responsive Genesis theme it doesn’t look good, containers didn’t stack—containers created from widgets like the Members or Recent Members, etc. Instead of stacking they got squeezed side by side. I was trying out Executive theme by Genesis.

Is this more of a framework developer’s issue or is it that BP is not responsive natively (yet)?

    BP is not responsive.

Could always overload the styles and make it responsive? In it’s ‘native state’ it may never be as these things can tend to be reliant on the parent themes actions.

more on what Hugo said. The theme developers can supply responsive BP templates to make it 100% responsive. Even if BP added CSS and HTML to be responsive it still would not be 100% perfect because responsive CSS is different with every theme.
