BuddyPress ruined my site

I installed a new website on wordpress http://www.coreteacher.org and installed the latest version of buddypress. After installation, it redirected all of my pages to the buddypress forum.

I’ve uninstalled the plugin and deleted it but it is still redirected all my pages to some random phpforum.

For example, my About Us page, which used to be an About Us page is now linking to a phpforum that is not in use.

Is there anything I can do to undo this?

  • BP doesn’t have forums, forums are integrated into BP only if you install and run the bbPress plugin and then activate it for BP.

Something else is causing your issues, especially if you have deativated BP as it now no longer can direct things anywhere.

However your about page does direct to a page about the site not ‘some’ forum so not sure what your seeing there.

I note that your permalinks are set to default, BP requires that anything other than default is selected i.e NOT ?p=

Unless there is a very good reason there’s no point to not using pretty permalinks, human readable links and this is likely part of the issue.

Also deactivate any other plugins running to test further.

The random phpforum you speak of, is that another website? If so, you have malware and will need to remove it.
