Buddypress send PM not refreshing after sent.

This is driving me crazy, When sending a PM using buddypress 2.3.4 on wordpress 4.3.1, you write your message and press send in a PM to another user, nothing happens but the message was sent! Which means people keep pressing it over and over and over ending up with about 10 messages that are all the same.
I can’t remember whether its an Ajax call or just refreshes the page to show the message was sent, neither is happening.

Members need to be logged in before they can send a PM.
If you’d like to provide a user / pw, somebody might take a closer look.

You’re using a custom theme – does its member-header.php include
do_action( 'template_notices' ); ?
If not, the feedback messages will not appear.
