First thing you do is check the BP codex documentation where you will find a walkthrough for this step people seem to get stuck on. Have a read and a go at starting the process off and report back to this thread with your results and issues.

Or better still if you can hang on and wait for BP 1.7 to be released, that will work with any theme and is the best option really.

The thing that I seem to get stuck on is the fact that my theme has 3 columns and the walkthrough only shows 1-2 columns. Obviously if I had experience with this type of coding then I wouldn’t get stuck on it but unfortunately that’s the root of the problem 🙁 any way you can show me an example of a 3 column code?

Initial scan shows that you would need to change 17 files within the 6 BuddyPress folders transferred to your Flexx theme during the BP Compatibility process. Open up your header.php file, copy all code, paste to pastebin.com, click submit and post the generated URI here. Do the same for your theme’s page.php, index.php, sidebar.php, footer.php files. If you have the code for the other sidebar-xxxx.php as well as a possible template file for a 3-column page, then post the codes for both files in pastebin.com as well.

Well start from somewhere if people want other than what is provided for free out of the box, defaults then they ought to be prepared to put a little time in on  learning and gaining those skills at least at a basic level.

I do hope you did read the codex walkthrough and at least try to understand  the process, it’s not too difficult.

I would have urged you to take the advice earlier and wait for BP 1.7 to be released then this process would have been much easier for you.

Also should I do that for only h2 and h3? For example, the file forums/index.php also has h5…

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<' in /misc/25/000/212/149/6/user/web/theifhl.com/wp-content/themes/FlexxProfessional/members/single/home.php on line 10
