BuddyPress Wall

    Here’s the deal:

I already know of and tried using the BuddyPress Wall by meg@info. It’s a good plugin, the only problem is that a) a lot of code is redundant, b) there’s a problem with the statuses staying on the other user’s page after it refreshes (it disappears), and c) Meg@info takes a really long time to get reply to support queries.

I’m trying to find an alternative. There was one mentioned by one of the admins here by using bp_activity_add() but I’m not quite sure where to start with making the function.

Here’s what I need to do: for the activity page to be manipulated to be a Facebook-style wall where one user can post to another user’s profile and it doesn’t disappear. I know it’s an AJAX /Posting issue on the BP-Wall plugin but if I can find out a solution through bp_activity_add() it would be much better.

    Please advise.
