Bug in Activity directory when admin moderates other user\'s posts.

    @nonegiven

    There is another bug, or rather lack of consideration perhaps, in activity stream where admin moderates other user’s posts.

    http://trac.buddypress.org/ticket/2079

    • A user posts a post … It appears in Activity stream under their name.

    • An admin moderates the post for what ever reason, e.g. help, fix or censor … (or because blog is admin’s own personal blog) the post then appears in Activity stream under their name.

    (The moderation changes the name of the author)

    • The original editor then changes the author name back to their own … and it too appears in the Activity Directory!

    It all appears as separate items complete with thumbnail images etc.

    It looks confusing.

    It looks bad.

    It is exposing.

    Something is not being updated somewhere.

    Something is being added as new where it should overwrite as a correction. Too much information.

    • Perhaps admin corrections should be invisible, or there be an option to make them invisible?

    Sorry, I see the problem but do not understand the technology behind it.

    I suspect this might be part of WPMU problems but PLEASE as BP and WPMU are all part of the same stable now don’t bat the tech problems between the two departments like Microsoft blaming hardware makers and hardware makers blaming Microsoft!
