buttons on profile – don’t do anything

    hi BuddyPress!

I have a question about the profiles created on BuddyPress.. the basic profile, not the extended profile. I have 2 buttons on my profile at http://www.charlottesogn.com titled “Profile” and “View” that you can click, but nothing happens! What are they for? I would like for them to either function, or remove them.

    The info you requested:

    – the link is http://www.charlottesogn.com
    – I confirmed the issue does exist in the Twenty Sixteen theme – the buttons look more like stripes, but they are there, and still don’t do anything.
    – I’m using the very latest update of WordPress (v. 4.4.2)
    – I’m using BuddyPress v 2.4.3

As I mentioned, I would like the buttons to either function, or remove them.

    Thanks for your help!

    Charlotte

    “Profile” is the parent tab.
“View” is a subnav tab for the parent tab.
If you are looking at your own profile, you should also see a subnav tab for ‘Edit’.

Try switching momentarily to a WP theme like 2013 to see how it looks there.

Thanks for the reply! I activated Twenty Thirteen and saw essentially the “stripes” that I saw in Twenty Sixteen. The Edit button is next to my name. So, if I hear you correctly, there’s no way to get rid of them but they are visible only to me looking at my own profile? Do I hear you correctly? Thanks for the info!!

ok, I see now… I activated “notifications” and I can see that they are tabs.. Since I just have a few minimal options activated, I don’t have many tabs.. thank you!!
