[Resolved] can anyone help me?

i want to disable starring of messages. and i don’t want user to have the privilege to delete messages in their inbox. and is it possible that when the message was open it will automatically mark as read.? or i want to disable the marking of read and unread messages. is that possible? please help me.

Disable starring messages with this snippet in wp-content/plugins/bp-custom.php:

add_filter( 'bp_is_messages_star_active', '__return_false' );

To remove the ‘Delete’ link from the messages inbox, you’ll have to override the inbox template and remove the ‘Delete’ link.

Read the Overloading Template Compatibility theme files section of this codex article for more info.

The template you’ll want to copy over to your theme to override is this one:

thanks for replying @r-a-y disabling the star woks fine. 🙂 but i don’t understand about the delete link. from the link youv given, do i have to paste the code inside the (messages-loop.php)? or i’ll make another php file?
