If so how?

If a user creates a group I would like to disable the ability to create a group forum. Can I do this? I know they have the option to disable the forum when they create the group but I would like to not even give them the option to create the forum in the first place.

turn it off in your WPMU admin > buddypress > general settings

I’m not sure but if you don’t install bbpress as group forum, the group option “create a forum” appears once (when you create the 1st group), and next disappears.

buddypress doesn’t have any forum unless you install and setup bbpress.
