Can not change the title of the “members” page

I am trying to comprehend what I am doing wrong since his is so hard

In option buddypress configuration > pages I have selected http://example.com/profiles as the page I want to use for listing members

However, it shows is title in English “Members”, but no matter how much I edit the page – i has zero effect on the result.

I have also gone through the language files and translated all I could.
